currently if you wanna ad d new DICOM images to an already opened RadiAnt viewer Windows you should use the menu item "add new DICOM" from the "folder icon" on the left.

if you drag & drop a DICOM file into the viewer instead it replaces the currently viewed exam.

I suggest this modification in behaviour:

1- if you drag & drop into the viewports it replaces the current exam (just like it does now)

2- if you drag & drop into the series preview left bar it adds the new exam to the list of opened series so you have both exams, the old one and the new one

Actually there's no difference in behavious if you drag into the viewport or the series preview panel

I think this would be an improvement in terms of usability.
think about it.

Tommy, just press SHIFT during drag&drop and the image(s) will be added.
