Export 3D model to STL results in malformed file

I am trying to export a 3D model made using the instructions listed in the RadiAnt documentation. The software does show a nice 3D model that I can rotate and manipulate. However, when I export this to an STL file, and try to load that file in some other software (tried many) I get an error... stating that the file is malformed. Any ideas?
