hello, I'm doing some network and PACS benchmarking in the last few days so I suggest a tweak that my help users in this task.
actually when you are donwloading a case from PACS you got some nice realtime statistics about number of images, PACS location, transfer speed, time spent and time remaining.
this are only visible during file transfer and disappear as soon as the whole case is downloaded.
I suggest to show final stats at the bottom of the windows like:
533 files (291 MB) downloaded from PACS ad an average speed of 7.6 MB/s in 31 seconds.
that message should remain visible until the user clicks on it or on a small "x" button you could add at the end of the line.
during my benchmarking I did many tests downloading the same case over and over again in various network confirations in order to see which one was the most efficient...
one test involved a very large case (1.4 GB) which took 3 minutes to load...
it was quite annoying to keep staring at the window to catch the final loading time before it disappeared... if final stats message could be persistent, I could move to other tasks and just take a look at the end of the process.
another advantage of such persistant stats is the the user has a constant precise feedback about the size of the cases he's viewing and the current network speed...
think about it.
then it could be followed by a

as an additional note I've seen that after the image number counter reached the end and the remaing time is already to 0, the global download time counter keeps running for other 3-4 seconds before disappearing...
so I wonder if the true image donwload time is the one I see when all images seems to be loaded or if those additional seconds are real transfer time or not.

very nice!!! I did not notice that what I asked for was already implemented.
