Hi,
I'm Federico Pirola from Italy, I'm a radiology tecnician and I work in a Medical Center near Genova.
A few weeks ago we buyed the license for Patient CD/DVD Viewer autorun package of Radiant and we are very satisfied of the product, it is very fast in opening images.
But we have a problem, the Hospital near our medical center uses a PACS of CARESTREAM HEALTH, and the Radiologists need to open our CDs with that PACS but when they try to open the disc from the folder appears an error and the images cannot be viewed.
I've read in the forum that you will insert this possibility in the next updates of the software, is it right? If it is, could you answer to these question I have?
- Indicatively when you think it would be possible to have that update?
- Can I temporary open images from CDs in that PACS in another way?
- When the update will be available, how can I update the software that will be on our CDs so that the we can solve this problem?
Thank you very much,
Fens

Dear Fens,
The problem you describe seems not to be connected with our RadiAnt DICOM Viewer CD/DVD application at all.
The thing is, RadiAnt only reads and displays the images when it is specifically launched from the disc. However, if the disc is imported in some other software (like Carestream in your case), RadiAnt does not play any part in this process.
RadiAnt DICOM Viewer CD/DVD is just a set of files recorded on the CD/DVD disc. It does not affect the DICOM files included on the disc. Or the way they are opened by other applications.
So, to solve your issue, you have to talk to the support team of:
a) the modality the DICOM images come from
b) Carestream PACS workstation
There is no way we can help you with this here, I'm afraid.
Best regards,
Maciej
