In this version we added a basic support of the "Export to DICOM files" functionality (the original files are not changed during export). Images reformatted with MPR tool and fused images cannot be exported currently.
Also, a rare crash while trying to open images with "RAW" modality was fixed.

I understand this is a early feature but what's the point in exporting already existing DICOM files as DICOM?
it would be more interesting to export as DICOM the MPRs and fusion images.

Sometimes you want to save one DICOM image or one series from the study, it's much easier this way than to manually look for the right files.
Also, importance of this feature cannot be underestimated when you consider imminent PACS functionality - you will be able to save DICOMs downloaded from PACS servers.
Do you agree? :-)

yes, from a pacs point of view it would be useful.

Tommy, for "normal" radiology the feature is not so important. For us who do some research it is essential to be able to separate the sequences to use them in other software like dti studio, itk snap etc. I have relied on dicomworks until now...
Synedra offers dicom export but it modifies the files somehow and they are no longer loadable in most of the software I use. If this works I will too purchase a license. Just to further help with evelopment of radiant.

Please consider the Dicom Print feature. It is useful. Sometimes printing MPR images or simple axial images is part of the imaging workflow..

+1 DICOM print would be cherry on top of the cake :-)

Sure we will think about this feature. However now the priority is PACS and local archive.
