Hi,
We are eveluating RadiAnt DICOM Viewer for integration in a hospital. As part of this, we need the ability to write CD/DVD disks with patient's studies, that can be opened on other PCs, without the need for software installing. RadiAnt DICOM Viewer CD/DVD seems to be perfect for that.
However, it will be better if RadiAnt DICOM Viewer has more tight integration with RadiAnt DICOM Viewer CD/DVD.
Is there a way to write CD/DVD disks directly from RadiAnt DICOM Viewer, without using any external CD/DVD software? It will be very useful if you add such feature in the RadiAnt DICOM Viewer directly. And when the program is connected to some DICOM server, to have the ability to write itself, together with the opened patient's study, directly to the CD/DVD disk. (Of course, the user will have to buy both RadiAnt DICOM Viewer & RadiAnt DICOM Viewer CD/DVD licenses.)
As first step of making such feature, it will be enough if you can add in the RadiAnt DICOM Viewer menu the ability to execute an external command line with parameter (%1) the name and/or ID of the opened DICOM study.
Thanks in advance,
A.

Hi,
Currently there is no CD/DVD burning feature in RadiAnt. We plan to add this some time later.
Also, at some point we will introduce the plugin mechanism which will make possible to write extensions for RadiAnt.
Kind regards,
Maciej

Thank you for your answer.
Can you share some info about your plans - when the plug-in mechanism can be expected? And/or the CD/DVD burning feature also. It will be very valuable.

We learned that we cannot predict feature release dates with a decent accuracy (vide oblique MPR) so I think it's better to not announce these dates until things are almost ready...
