Rectangular ROI could be sometimes useful, if it can be included in RadiAnt.

Ok.
Is it only possible to measure the mean signal intensity in a circle or ellipse? Or can it be done in ex the closed polygon?

These measurements are only available for the ellipse ROI.

Is there any news concernig rectangular ROIs?
Any alternative planned? A TRUE polygon consisting of STRAIGHT line segments?

Yes, there are plans for rectangular ROIs, straight line polygons and measurements within "curved" polygons.
