this is one feature that iQ-VIEW has which I'd like to see in RadiANT as well.
in iQ-VIEW each split screen setup (i.e. 1x1, 2x1, 2x2, 3x2, 2x3 etc. etc.) can be assigned to a custom shortcut.
there are many users (me included) that use the left hand to enter keyboard shortcut to trigger software options and keep the right hand focused on the mouse over the images
this increase productivity over people using only the mouse right hand, since every time you have to change something you don't have to move from image, hit the toolbar button, then go back to image.

This is a good idea. However, first we need to implement the preferences window and the configurable keyboard shortcuts feature.

yes, custom keyboard shortcuts will be a bless.
regarding the split screen setups I use the number keys:
1 for 1x1
2 for 2x1
3 for 3x1
4 for 2x2
5 for 2x3
6 for 3x2
9 for 3x3
however with a shortcut customizer anyone could set what he prefers
