The series preview bar should show an image from the middle of the series, better presenting the series content than the first image of a series.
many time, expecially in MRI studies, the first image only contains air or very peripheral anatomy and will generate an almost useless thumbnail
the next iQ-VIEW 3.0 version will feature this simple but intelligent option.
I think RadiAnt should do the same.

think about the thumbnal preview for a spine sagittal MR image... now you get the first right side image while it would be much better to show the middle serie image which is focused on the spinal canal

Thanks, Tommy. We thought about this long time ago and hope that soon will find some time to implement it at last ;-) Probably not in the next public release with PACS client, which is imminent, but in the next beta versions featuring Volume Rendering (being currently actively developed).

Until the VR is released officially, no other distractions (new features) are planned...

VERIFIED FIXED in latest beta
moreover the constant update of the middle image of the thumbnail during image download gives a dynamic look at the thumbnail column... I like the effect
thanks for the hard work spent polishing this wonderful DICOM app!!!
