What do you mean by DICOMDIR support? If just opening a dicomdir file, you can use scanning folder for DICOM files. We could implement DICOMDIR support but the question is how many users would find it useful...

If a do have a DICOMDIR file along with images in a folder, I would like to open the DICOMDIR file in order to see a list of patients and studies that are available in that directory or on a CD or DVD media. From that DICOMDIR list I would like to load just individual studies for review.

That would be useful, in fact. I will add this feature to our to-do list.
